NOTES: If you suddenly get stuck where the map progress disappears after the first combat, please return to home and play again to restart your run. I apologize because in the game build now the enemy that can be fought is only Insect Kingdom because I haven't finished balancing the other enemy types. - Inner Childhood Dream: Most of us grew up watching heroic movies, cartoons, and anime, fighting of defeating something evil. This game materializes that forgotten spark through world-building and character progression.

You Can Be Hero is a 2D mobile roguelike deckbuilder card battler game that I developed for Gameseed 2026 with the themes of "Inner Childhood Dream," "Meme-Driven," and "So Absurd It's Cool." In this game, players step into the shoes of MC, a severely burned-out office worker whose exhausting daily reality, past hustles, and digital copings literally manifest into a fantasy dream world.
The core gameplay revolves around strategic card battling, energy management, and deck building. Players can choose from 4 distinct classes representing different chapters of MC’s life, Office Worker Knight, Gamer Hero, Indie Musician, and Delivery Driver, each featuring different stats and skill cards. Instead of standard swords and magic, character's weapons can be internet memes and real-world things that relateable. Players must think tactically to navigate procedurally generated maps to survive to the end and defeat the evil boss.

Upon waking up, the King of this strange realm delivers an ancient prophecy: MC is the chosen savior destined to defeat the Evil. While his logical adult brain scoffs at the idea, a long-dormant spark in his heart suddenly reignites. Armed with a deck forged from his real-life struggles, past hustles, and digital copings, MC’s ultimate journey begins. Can you help him reclaim his childhood dream and break free from eternal burnout, or will he be trapped in this corporate nightmare forever?
